I am ready to meet my Maker..

Whether my Maker is prepared for the ordeal of meeting me is another matter- Wintson Churchill

I think it's about time I told you all what I got from Australia for Christmas! Because, well, the blogging from me has definitely been below par (aka, last blog -- one WEEK ago) and I should blog about SOMETHING other than doing holiday things, then school things.

I’ve been doing very normal things, like attending normal classes and eating the normal big lunches.

(this is going to kill me -- only one is edited!!)

My First Aunt sent me tea!! :) Very, very good tea! I’m actually drinking some, right now.... Herbal tea and Australian breakfast, which is so much better than English breakfast (eww!).

Gran sent me an OWL and a very cute beret / tea cosy beanie.

Sue sent me cool necklaces and possibly the most awesome tissue paper ever.

Thank you very much, I love you all !! :)

I hope everyone had a good Noël!

Merry Chistmas! Joyeux Noël!

Basically everything in the North is red brick.
I like it!

I a currently owning and in love with these cool blue-diamon-shaped tights which you can't really see all that well.
They make me feel like a jester.
I love them.

I'm wearing my purple mini in this!
I just had to wear a mini skirt in snow-weather.
Couldn't resist.
Although I am wearing two pairs of tights.

SPARKLY SNOW!!!

Frog legs taste like a really dry chicken-fish cross.
They also have really small bones.

It's so pwetty!

It has GOLD BITS LOOK.

There is cobble stones and curly houses.
CURLY HOUSES.
Like Mr Curly (see bottom of the page).
CURLY HOUSES!!!
CURLY FREAKING HOUSES!

Freckles for Mum and Penny ... Like my cute felt hat?? <3

OKAY AUSTRALIA, when are we going to get more of these things?? They're so coooool!!!

Looky, my biscuit is French!

<3

SO

I had a very merry christmas in the North. Cool? Yah.
People's hearts are abouuuuttt 700 miles² big.
I ate a lot of food, too.
They feed you a lot.

That's an understatement.

Joyeux Noël, loves

In celebration of the fact Christmas / Noël is upon us in two days, here’s some Christmas-sy, home sickening music!

Paul Kelly - How to Make Gravy

:’( PAUL KELLY! This brings tears to my eyes.

This is a totally brillant interview with Paul Kelly. Well, it's not brillant, but it could have been and the content COULD have been better organised, but whatever, it tells us a lot!

The Pouges - Fairytale of New York

(that guy has a serious lack of teeth.)

And here’s the Aussie cover / version!!

Clare Bowditch and Tex Perkins singing Fairytale of New York for the Rockwiz Christmas special of 2007.

(I love Clare Bowditch! Her first name is my middle name!! :D Plus, she’s almost as tall as Tex Perkins and that’s quite an achievement in itself!) (Ohh, and a soprano sax!)

--

I’m off the The North (THE North. Very North. The tip of France.) tomorrow to spend Noël with my host family’s family. Ahh big groups of people!! :) Should be fun!

Merry Christmas and I hope you have a very happy New Year!

I love you!

xx

HOLEY CRÊPE!

I have wanted to be many things in my life.

Here’s a list (in no particular time line or order or complete)

* Toy tester

* Fashion designer

* Umbrella girl (do not ask)

* Journalist

* Doctor

* Writer (the current one)

AND NOW to add to my list:

* Master Crêpe-er. No, not Creeper. CRÊPE-er.

(I love french keyboards! (Even if I’m still not used to it and often hit weird letters!) (And use the exclaimation mark to often because I have to hit shift to get the full stop … !! This one also turns up a fair bit: §) (Here’s some random weird symbols I can get on this keyboard: § ù µ £ ¤ $ ° à ç è é € ² …....... Where was I?) Ah yes!)

My reasons why?

I had an absolute ball cooking dinner!

And flipping crêpes is so much easier than it looks. Trust me, if you want to make an impression on your next date, cook crêpes! (But do be warned they hit bottom like pork balls and all that Nutella you put on, saving the last corner stuffed with it? Yeah, not going to get eaten).

Flipping crêpes! The best way to get into someone’s good books!

But you CAN fail:

^ fail by Seb! Definitely not by me! Seriously, that’s his feet!!

THEN we made a mistletoe wreath! HOW COOL IS THAT ***JUST LET ME HYPERVENTILATE OVER HERE*** ????

And whilst cooking epic as crêpes and making epic wreath, it snowed. A lot. Like, over 10cm, which is really rare for this time if year! It’s about 11 o’clock now and we just got back from a lurverly walk through the snow!

Haha, let me tell you, first rules of snowball fights:

[Don’t talk about snowball fights]?

Don’t choose sides. For goodness sake, you’ll end up enemies in five seconds!
